Guys, just a reminder: this is a queue, not a discussion thread. Rules are clearly stated, every question must be directed to singer by PM or in other threads. Let's not clutter the Newbie queue up. Thanks.

Ok sooooo apparently people are not sure on how replacing into a game works
If mods need a replacement, they will post it here, and YOU have to PM them
You cannot say here "I can replace in" or something; this is just to sign up to new games
To replace, PM the mod who needs it

In post 1155, Sundy wrote:/ in as SE or IC, whichever is needed first
* note I haven't played a mafia game in a probably a few years, but I did complete like a dozen games or so when i played back then. and i'm on vacation now and feeling the mafia itch
IC is a voluntary position to teach new people, so you would enter as an SE with your record

Good to see you're back for more Mafia! Yep, people returning enter as SE.

Still, players who are experienced with Mafia may not fit into the MS meta, and so it is advised that one or two games are played in the Newbie queue and then go into other queues, as to learn site specific terms and phrases and the like. For example, I went to the Open queue waaaay too early and got lynched D1 despite my experience in Mafia.

Of course you can join! Newbie games have a requirement that you must post every 72 hours (though other games vary from moderator to moderator) to accommodate precisely for timezones and real life situations.

Yeah, this is the queue for Newbie games which follow a semi-open setup (where all roles are known to players but not exactly which roles are in play)
There are other queues for different types of games, but it's better to start in the Newbie queue and then branch off from there
In this queue, just type "/in", so you get placed in a new game
In other queues, there'll be multiple games in queue so you have to type "/in 245" or whatever depending on the game you want to enter
Hope this helps!

That's another thing: there is one Inexperience-Challenged (IC) player, three Semi-Experienced (SE) player(s), and five Newbie players in each game; it's all in the first post of this thread
Also, if that Newbie game is ongoing, better not talk about it or reference it in any way

No, but seriously, clarify you are one person so you can be added as a true hydra
Regarding replacements, moderators that need one will post here, and you can PM them to replace in
Singer will put you in the list when she gets on

Mmmmkay yeah that's what we needed
The thing is, if a hydra enters the Newbie queue as a Newbie, they're taking a true Newbie's spot, hindering the learning process

I personally think that atrophied players should be allowed to enter as Newbies, though it would depend on how long they've been gone for because site meta changes and Newbie games present an occasion to get in touch with it.

And it's better that you, as a player, choose what game you're replacing into instead of going blind
I'd be much more keen on replacing into a 10 page game than a 40 page MyLo or something
I got confused as I looked at the open queue first and on that one you had to say you were in for a specific game.
That's because there are different setups in the open queue, while every Newbie game follows the same semi-open format. That's why you need to specify in the open queue, but not here.

Wait what. There's games on twitch? Since when?
Also yeah as said above post in whatever color you want, they're there for that, just don't conflict with the mod's color in game

In this context it's his scumday, every 14th of January it's gonna happen because he joined on that date
Your scumday is January 12th; the day you joined the site you had one and every January 12th you'll have one
