I don't have a problem with BB playing so long as she reads the wiki first. This is going to be a pretty normal game (?) and we're kind of wanting for more players so.

How do you play mafia when you can't make the connection between "I'm V/LA for a week." and the duration of the meet?

How old are you anyway? Due to your Blueberry Muffin avatar I don't expect you to be under 14, but I can't imagine you being any older, either.
