@PZ:
Is there going to be a player list (like the one in the Mini Theme queue) to keep track of who's in how many games? Or is the list in the MT queue comprised of both Normal & Theme games?

I wasn't planning to, since that means more work for me with no real added benefit. Cow and I are keeping a SEKRIT GOOGLE SPREADSHEET (OMG) that keeps track of this mess.
I vote the spreadsheet be made public. Reasons:
1) It helps Mods determine who to approach for replacements
2) It allows those of us with OCD to better keep track of our games (especially when we have two playing accounts)
3) Open Source rules, in any case
4) I hate secrets.
Now, I know (very well, thank you) that I'm literally Nobody in the Grand Scheme of things. Just adding my two cents, FWIW.

the open queue is for losers. IMO it should be removed completely, but...
FYI: You don't get the important parts of a modding experience from the open queue.
This is probably better suited for MD, but what precisely do you mean by the "important parts" of Modding? I think I'm offended. I love the Open Queue.

Magua wrote:Is this still accurate:
Potential moderators can only be in a single moderator queue (Mini Normal, Mini Theme, or Open) at a time.
I ask because on the wiki it says this:
Moderators who have successfully run one game to completion are eligible to run games from the Large Normal, Mini Theme, and Newbie lists. These moderators may run up to two games at once, as long as these games are from different lists.
If the wiki is accurate, I'd like to /in to mod (experience: Open 293). I'm also currently on the Mini Theme list. If the wiki's not accurate, you can ignore this. =P
Well I don't see Mini Normal mentioned there. Where did you pull this quote from?
The reason that Mini Normals are not mentioned in there is because that section is talking about the queues in which you have to have modding experience to run a game in. There is no modding experience requirement to run a Mini Normal, same as with the Open Queue, which likewise is not mentioned.

AurorusVox wrote:@effortless, very sorry, but as this is my first modded game, I'd prefer to have players who have finished at least one game on-site so that they know how we play on here etc. If this wasn't my first modded game, I'd probably allow it, but for this one, I'd rather not. Why not try out a Newbie Game for now?
Of course, not every mod has this requirement, and as mine is
almost
full, you could always try to sign up for the one coming up after mine~
I've played a decent amount a long time ago, so I'm not sure it's ok for me to play in a Newbie game. I'll ask the current mod or sign up for the next mini.
Newbie games on this site are designed to acclimate players to our unique style of play
on this site.
It doesn't mean you know nothing, it just means you know nothing
about us.
We're unique.
You should totally play a Newbie game. They're fun.

That being said, I think it's worth discussing with Papa Zito about having every third game on rotation be explicitly non-hydra since quite a few people seem to have a big issue. I don't, I don't think meta is an effective tool to hunt scum anyway, but if we're pushing people away, we're pushing people away. 1 in 3 will let them just wait it out without losing much time.
I think that randomly enforcing every third mod to not accept hydrae would be unfair.
Zito:
Would you prefer we take this discussion elsewhere?

You /in for the next game here, in this thread, then when it's filled, you'll get a PM (private message) from the Moderator (host) with further instructions.

If my count is accurate, you just filled the last spot. Now we wait for Papa Zito (the ListMod) to pop in and declare it Officially Full, and then the Mod will create the thread and send Role PMs.

The completed game (as a player) isn't submitted for review; it's only a requirement that you have completed a game here as a player. The game you submit for review is the set-up that you're planning to run.

They were all mini Themes. All minis get numbered from one pool, both normals and minis. (This hearkens back to the Golden Age when the mini queue was one thread and one queue.)

Well, see, serrapaladin's game is the only one in signups right now. If you want the next one, you have to wait until serra's fills and the next one is announced.

Normally (see what I did there?), I believe you would get set up with the Review Committee fairly quickly, but this particular Queue is in transition right now, so please have patience. It will get sorted very soon.
