Mini 1106 - No Exit Mafia

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Fri Dec 31, 2010 9:13 pm

Post by Seacore »

"Velcome mine friends. I say 'friends' sarcastically of course, because you are mine enemies! Hahahaha! You know me. I am Viktor Von Skümihosen. You have all be captured during assaults and infiltration attempts on my property. This I cannot abide!

I would kill you myself, but my cheese reconfiguration laser is approaching it's final stages and I cannot spare the time to pull so many triggers.

So instead I have devised an elaborate trap that I'm certain will dispose of you.

In your glass cages you will see buttons, each labelled for a corresponding cell. You must vote for who dies. One by one. Muahahahaha! If you refuse, you will die of starvation.

Of course, a twist to make it interesting. Some of my men are among you. They are trying to prove themselves to me. Kill them all, and those of you that are alive may go free.

But that won't happen, my plan is too brilliant.

I'm going to leave now, and assume you are all dead. Auf wiedersehen"

Rules (stolen from Hoopla with some modifications)

> Fundamental

1) The site-wide rules apply, please read them and don't do anything stupid.
2) Unless it is explicitly stated in your role PM that you can do so, do not talk about this game outside of the game thread.
3) Do not quote any communication you have with me, the moderator of the game. Depending on the circumstance, you may be able to paraphrase things I have sent you (such as a role PM). Use common sense and if you are unsure feel free to ask me via PM.
4) Be courteous to your fellow player. This is just a game - please don't bring personal grudges into the game. Try and keep it civil.

> Voting, Lynching & Death

5) For your vote to be counted, it must be bold, and in the form
Vote: Seacore.
Caps and colons are optional, but it does need to be bolded.
6) Unvotes aren't necessary, but will be appreciated.
7) A lynch will occur when a player achieves 50% +1 of the votes. When this has happened, any subsequent votes and unvotes will not be counted, and the game will enter twilight. Night will begin as soon as I have declared the lynch.
8) You may vote for a "no lynch" if desired. If a majority of the players in the game vote for a no lynch, the game will progress to night without a lynch.
9) Once you're dead, you are dead. Do not post in the thread until the game is over, not even a 'bah' post.

> Activity & Deadlines

10) Treat this game as a commitment, and try your best to stay active.
11) Prods will be issued after three days in a row without posting. If I keep having to prod you I'll get angry and replace you. Players may request a prod on another player too, I'm human I may forget so if you want someone prodded just tell me.
11a) If you do not open a prod within 24 hours of it being sent I will begin looking for a replacement.
12) Things come up in life, if you need time off for something, please let myself and the players know in-thread for V/LA purposes. I will be flexible, but if you can't be here for a significant amount of time I will replace you.
13) Deadlines for each game day will be
2 weeks.

14) In the event of a deadline ending without a player gaining a majority of votes, there will no lynch.
15) Nights will have a 72 hour deadline. If you fail to send in a night choice, I will automatically default to 'no choice' for that night, and you will do nothing.
16) Deadlines will only be extended if I need a number of replacements, or barring some other freak circumstances. Apart from that, laziness or anything else, will not result in a deadline extension.

> Game Specific Rules
i.e. How this game is different to a normal.

17) Henchmen, (aka Scum) do not have a night talk. They do have access to a pre-game quick topic, but no new posts may be made in that thread once the game begins.
18) Henchmen night kill nominations must be PM'd to the mod by all surviving Henchmen players. The nominations must be unanimous for the kill to be successful.

> Other Information

19)
RED
and Mech font are my colours I will use for modly purposes. All other colors are fair game as long as they are easily read by your other players/myself. I'll not modkill you if you happen to use them, but try not to please.
20) I will try to post Vote Counts as often as possible. Hopefully on the top of every page. If you feel a vote count is needed, don't hesitate to ask for one, and I'll provide one at the next opportunity.
21) It's more than possible I've missed a rule or haven't completely covered something. Don't be a prick and try to exploit it, or I will punish you. If something is fuzzy for you, please ask!
22) I reserve the right to add more, or modify existing rules at any time. If this happens, I will let everyone know.
23) Flavour in night/day write up's is just that ; flavour. Apart from the specific game rules mentioned, this is largely a normal game.
24)
Have fun!

> Sample PM
Sample Role PM wrote:You are a super-spy. You have gadgets, the ability to hack into any computer system, you can drive, fly and steer any vehicle ever constructed and can kill a man with your bare hands.

However, given you have been stripped of all your gizmos and are trapped in a cage, you are effectively a
Vanilla Townie
. Each 'day phase' you can vote for a person to gas (i.e. Lynch).

You win when all of the evil genius' henchmen are dead and at least one surviving spy is released from his or her cage.

Please confirm via PM.

Oh, hey, it's open!

Also, vezokpriaka, usually they still win.

VOTE: RossWilliam for having the most henchman-sounding name.

Villain: Ross Villiam! Arm ze lazer!

RossVilliam: Right away, sir!

Plus, I can't vote for myself, cause I think Xalxe would be a sweet villain name too.

Cool, dripping Goofy head is in this game! You're showing up everywhere.

For you unknowable brain, who is the scum? I want this game over by page 2 or else.

Dark, why would you write this:
/notchainsawdefending
Clearly, you are doing something you in your own mind think is scummy, or at least suspect. I know this because otherwise you wouldn't of been conscious if you did it, or commented on it. Why is chain saw defense scummy? Should we lynch anyone that does it?

I usually am not a fan of the RVS, I sorta like analysis; however, I have to admit Xalxe is an awesome villians name...possibly awesome enough to work for a mad scientists that has us imprisioned in these cages. So, with that in mind:

Vote: Xalxe

This was a hard vote for me: I had to figure out how to spell it.

I was doing something in my mind that some people might consider scummy.

The "/notchainsawdefending" was a joke, and I considered the point which I was "Defending" to be a joke (If that was serious, no comment >_>).

As for my opinions on your questions, no. I've yet to see reason as to why it's scummy.

No, I know you were joking, but in much laughter is truth often spoken.

Why do you think people consider it scummy, and you don't? If people consider it scummy, and it raises your chance of been mislynched is you are town, why would you even comment on it?

Because I figured most people would assume i'm joking, and they probably wouldn't ml me for that.

Hey everybody. Ok, let's get into it.
The optimal strategy is obviously to kill off all the secret agents and leave just one remaining, because a spy all on his own with nothing to lose, his team mates all killed, ALWAYS defeats the bad guy, topples his secret base, and emerges from the rubble unscathed. It's an unbreakable law of the universe.

Let's get started then.

Profound.

Also, I concur that defending against a point that hasn't been made means you might be doing it wrong.

As far as I'm concerned, the lack of nighttalk means less kills (hopefully).

Apologies, the thread was not mean to be opened. I blame my lack of sleep. I will not be deleting all posts inbetween this one and the OP, because it's unfair if some people have read them and others haven't, but votes will not be tallied.

To answer Vezo's question, yes, you win with your faction, alive or dead.

Apologies again.

With a delicate flower like Goofball, any risk is too great.
