The hooded figure shuffles about the dusty stone floor of the basement laboratory, giggling quietly to himself. Lightning flashes in the distance, briefly illuminating the shape of a splintery operating table, festooned with restraints, bloodstains, surgical equipment, and vials of unspeakable liquids. A sudden shadow is cast onto the far wall by the hulking figure on the table, strapped into place with electrodes dangling every which way. A ghastly pallor is upon its horrid features, and broken, snaggly teeth grimace out into the night air as a light rain washes over everything from a hole in the cavernous roof. The boom of thunder momentarily drowns out the hum of the infernal equipment churning in motion around the corrupt chamber.
The hunched scientist bustles this way and that, mixing reagents and applying them to the still form on the table, tuning the devices which are to accomplish the experiment. Finally satisfied, he attaches the final leads to his "patient" before laying both scabbed hands on an immense wheel. As he turns the crank, the table is ratcheted upwards to a standing position, and lightning rods reach into the sky. the deranged giggle turns into a full blown cackle as the madman searches the heavens for the precise moment to instill unholy life into the wretched abomination. Lightning flashes again, drawn to the copper-clad steel rods above the decrepit castle, and conducts down into the waiting vessels. The doctor seizes his moment, and throws the final switch to direct the immense electrical current into the restrained creature, laughing madly as he does so.
In the moment of truth, the monster's back arches with electrical revivification, its ham-like fists clenching before ripping free of its bonds as the creature takes its first tottering step of its new life.
The hood falls away in the shock of the thunderclap, revealing the sinister face of Something_Smart.
