I ask because while your initial post about the party hat was innocuous, your responses to Math calling it out were a little less so. I could see it from a newbie or someone like Nancy Drew (sorry my compadre but it's apt and I know you understand) who is more likely to take things more emotionally or personally on a quick read. You seemed a lot more ruffled by Math than you needed to be.

I don't think I take things personally. But, I like to drill into people who attacking me for reasons i don't get. i've found that sometimes comes from scum.

It’s an implication the post is fine. Which plum can do themselves. I have glasses and sometimes it’s harder to see detail in the avatars. The fact you did it bugs me. If it’s so “obvious” there would be no reason for you to need to.

Like take for example you assume I am scum with Plum. Reread the opening.

i like skitter's defense of ari. i also townread the approach he took to scumreading me. seemed like genuine sorting.
i asked some questions of math that he hasn't responded to. it would be helpful if he could.

Tris I'd mostly a meta tone read. The way she omgus voted Math is reminiscent of her townplay in Port Arthur when scum pushed for her mislynch early.

that is one of the games that contributes to my experiences of scum trying to mislynch me. although, as my interactions with math continued, it did seem to be possibly different here. as i think i said days ago i'll have to review that.

I read it the opposite way, feels like an artificial way of making the decision about a tone read look logical and impartial.

I liked how he saw things about my behavior he thought might be scummy depending on how i am as a player, and so he interrogated me to figure out what the case was.

I'll explain more then. In a number of games I've played, a mafia has pushed for me as mafia for reasons that when interrogated don't really hold up. I think I can sometimes seem like an easy target to scumread because I can be little weird or whatever. Often this has been something that happens early Day 1 or based on something from early Day 1. MathBlade pushing me for the party hat stuff felt like one of those times. But, as I interacted with him more, it seemed more like he was just trying push things to quickly get out of RVS.

This is three things: incredibly waffly, incredibly vague, and it kind of sets someone else up to scumread you while not actually committing to the read from her end.

Like you're within rights to not like it but this is taking my words overly literally imo

Like she didn't call me scum for the overarching meaning, she called me scum for one specific phrase that I used. And she interacted with that specific phrase on an extremely shallow level.
I would have been more fine with it if she scumread me more broadly (ie scumread me for the general act of going after you in that way) or if she zeroed in on what she did in a deeper way.
