How about a "Leonidas Award", for "Best Performance in a Losing Cause"?
This obviously has nothing to do with the fact that I've lost every game I've played this year, frequently by the slimmest of margins.
Also, I'll second Shanba for Best Newbie.

In all seriousness, the sheer number of games that I have managed to lose this year has given me new insight, I think, into just how depressing it can be to play really well and lose due to chance, imbalance, someone else's poor play (this goes both ways for me, as my terrible performance in Short and Sweet might have cost my partners the game), or the like.
I really do think that playing well against all odds deserves its own award. I'm sure there are more than enough cases that wouldn't otherwise be considered for an award to justify it.If there's anything more important than my ego around, I want it caught and shot now.-

I'm still miffed that the assassins didn't actually avenge me.
Also, how many people have to support an award for it to be created? If there's anything more important than my ego around, I want it caught and shot now.-
