So...what did that role actually do?

He'd visit a person, infect them with HIV. Anyone that an infected person visited in following nights would also be infected with HIV. After a certain number of game days, an HIV infection becomes full-blow AIDS and vanilla-izes the infected. The original Gift Giver won if everyone in the game became infected.

No one lived long enough to be vanilla-ized. Also, there was a counter role (Jesus) that could heal people of HIV / AIDS, but town lynched him on day 1.

The Grey Goo seems more like the zombie on epicmafia than the Gay Gift Giver.

Reck, you're right, Fate's been decimating scumteams with his red right hand at an impressive pace. Hell, in Gay Mafia, he even predicted on DAY ONE that I was setting up to claim mason with DGB, who had been one of his scumreads pretty much from the get-go.

Judging from his posts in Team Mafia 2012, he was on the right track with SleepyKrew and mykonian right before they killed him N1, too. He wanted mykonian dead, but the deadline was looming and he couldn't get the town around to that. He begged them to kill SleepyKrew. And the third scum? He spent almost all of Day 1 tunneling Katsuki. (the third scum)
