Scummies Nominations 2023!

T-Bone massively held his own in a nightless game as scum after two of his buddies had already flipped surviving and pushing himself and getting massive townread while having to get 4 miseliminations in order to win the game for his team. Not easy, and definitely worthy of recognition See the Game - Legends of the Buisness Company

I think a Goodfellas nom would also probably be appropriate the wolf team definitely does deserve it

2023/20/11	Alisae	Klick	I mean this is basically the teacher vouching for the student. consistently very strong town player. Has a very solid understanding of the game (which is more than most players). Here is 1 notable example other people can write more and add more than I'm willing to. game - wins game page 1 by forcing a tvt. this tvt eventually leads into very quick game win.

let me rephrase this as i'm on ssc and technically speaking vouching for yourself this way is frowned upon but I am still going to justify myself anyways? I think realistically nobody cares but like shrug
I have a decent understanding of pretty much all of the games that were ran this year.
I think Pokemon Battles for best mechanic of the year should just be a very realistic thing that happens? I can think of other games that stood out for best mechanic but I don't think it comes even close.
- Elections by Shea. This is probably 2nd best mechanical game this year. I just love anything that plays around with a resource mechanic like money.
- Demon Slayer by FA. You got a human pm and a demon pm and you pick one. humans have a cooldown after use, demons require a resource called blood which you get for people dying but you can get additional blood by killing people (most notable way for a demon to get blood is to hammer. This is why wolves controlled pretty much all of the notable hammers as we needed to funnel blood to very specific players). There was also a role that turned humans into demons giving this mechanic extra purpose.
- DEFCON by Pooky. There was a DEFCON game that I played in and I think mechanically that game stood out more than this one but I mean it still is DEFCON In-Thread Attacks (ITAs) will always be a fun mechanic.
- Ya that's it. That's me doing a very basic skim of pretty much most of the themes that were ran this year.

Any nominations made towards Pokemon Battles goes to $elene, not me. FA contributed to the moderation of the game as well and hopefully that doesn't get overlooked compared to design (which honestly credit needs to be given to Something_Smart because a big game like that cannot rly happen without someone as talented as SS)

When it comes to play awards I'm just not going to actively encourage anyone to nominate me for anything but if you want to write something up I'm not going to stop you.
If you think I consider best wolf in the only 2 wolf games I won this year or best villager or anything else play related be my guest ig.

The games I won were
Election - practically carried by LLD and Bingle, I didn't need to do much but then ig you can argue knowing how to not do much can be good wolf gameplay sure.
Demon Slayer - I mean for 3 phases of the game I forced things through and then I got mechanically outed as a wolf by a single night action which should have broken the entire game open but somehow I still won because I somehow mind controlled the thread into thinking my role was a real thing??? This was just a game of all time ya.

The games I lost were
A micro - my first experience playing with andante ever. I did not bus her on page 5. I should have bussed her on page 5. I didn't. I lost this game.
TM - Andante replaced in and in general I just made terrible decisions. Day 1 was beautiful tho I should have just forced Staeg dead considering all the trouble afterwards was just so not worth it.
Swingers - Ya so Klick kind of just won the game on page 1 and I did want to bus my teammates so I kind of just lost?

I mean guns and roses my play was +winrate and I killed it in that game
in an open that just finished i started playing d2 and won the game on d3
datisi uni I was basically an immovable object and closed out the game.

it's also the one of the few games on ms where wolves actively utilized a discord to talk in and that just made the experience better being on the team

I think if you fundamentally broke down what happened in demon slayer it's pretty funny

I think we're all adults here so I think we should be able to vouch for ourselves if we really feel like we deserve it.

I can say that for about literally every town player this year I'm ngl LOL (including myself)

BTXVI: The unfortunate scenario of ScumDrew action delayed by Klick, ending into Drew accidentally protecting their own kill on Alisae. Ridiculously unfortunate situation, exciting to watch on an observer level.

Modfather:
Alisae for Pokemon + mafia have a Cop. Dunno if there were more, but the quality of the 2 games are enough.

Also, if we're in the business of self-advocating this year, idk. Pokemon Battles was like absolutely unmatched dayplay by the scum team, and Plan A went off without a hitch but an unclaimed 1-shot BP SirCakez on Night 5, the would be PERFECT victory night if the kill went off is rather amazing, and the fact we had a Plan B ready to go with my days and days of setup on association tells on Not Mafia, aka the player doing the most pro-town actions bar once or twice, and it still went off how we planned there, I think is Goodfellas for sure.

Same with my scum game with Alianna being so perfect.

This is more me trying to get consideration for my teams that game than myself.

If I was going for myself, I'd just say I had essentially a perfect scum year on play, besides the BP shot, which was accounted for ahead of time anyways. Really proud of this year.

My Traitor game, while one of my strongest scum games ever, I don't think we worked as a team that same way because the only one who knew for sure it was me as their traitor, I faked a guilty on early
