I really liked the Broken Idol we had in RtC, where you have a few of the same item and if one person owns every remaining piece in the game they get an idol (so they can either convince other people to give them the other pieces, or vote out the people with other pieces)

works really well as an auction item too because you can give them to the top X bidders where X is the number of pieces you want to be in the game

My argument against this is less about straight game mechanics, and more about the fact that those pre-jurors will be sequestered from spec access/have their commitment to the game on-hold until this reward is won. this can be partially solved by having this item only be available in the premerge and have to be used at the round of the merge, it keeps the time sequestered to a minimum.
but yeah, having a juror who might not have met all the players can be an issue
