Interesting. Depending on who dies, an innocent or a guilty result might become more useful. Also, it might be a valid strategy for the scum to claim cop, knowing that the cops out there don't know who the other one is and therefore assume that the claimant is. I like that setup.

Love is in the Air mafia
2 lovers (masons who die together)
2lovers
4 townies
2 linked scum (die together)
2 linked scum
All the scum are in the same scumgroup
This basically came from me thinking how to balance a 6p setup. Linking two of the townies seemed the way to go about it, but even then it simply becomes a one lynch game, which seemed off. So I doubled everything. There's room for mafia fake claiming lovers or claim townies. There's disincentives for lovers to claim just to confirm innocence. I'd like some thoughts though.

Because in order to counterclaim scum claiming lovers, both sets of lovers would have to come out, and they couldn't be sure that the other group wasn't the second pair or not. Also, even if one pair of the scum were counterclaimed by bothpairs of lovers, that's still a 2 in 3 chance that the scum will win (wrong set of lovers lynched, other set of lovers nked).

mm. I don't see any reason why the traitor should auto-lose if he's the last scum. I don't see why he should get a nk either though. It would just turn the game into a nightless game (although if the cop is still alive, he's in trouble: but he should still be able to win).

Why shouldn't you be using the 50% endgame rule? I always assumed that was standard. At any rate, if you decide that the town don't need to kill the traitor, that means they only need two successful lynches with 8 townies and a cop. Which seems unbalanced, imo.

Rofl. I thought she'd misspelt dinner and had an image of some of the guests getting so impatient waiting for food that they took matters into their own hands.

Kelly replied, and her reply pretty much covered the essentials. It would be better to use that sort of thing as a hidden element in a theme - perhaps a power that allows a one off deletion of a post, or a once per day deletion of a post so that the players aren't prepared for it by having the whole thing written on their hard drive.
