This question's answer might vary by mod, but can the vig be the lynching vote and in the same (or really quick next) post take someone else out? I can imagine how to explain it via death scene, but wonder how mods would handle that.Albert B. Rampage wrote:Rampage Mafia
1x 1-shot day-vig that dies upon using his ability
2x masons
3x goons
6x vanilla townies
The day kill does not end the day.
What do you think ?

I like the name Poser for the Miller Extreme, as in the Worst Roles thread. How about this:
Punks and Posers
1 SK
2 Punks (Mafia)
1 Poser (Picks a player each night, investigates as that win condition by the cop)
1 Cop (Gets 'wins with town' and 'doesn't win with town')
7 Townies
Poser is a possible safe claim until he goes down.
Possible tweaks:
Swap SK for another scum and swap a Townie for a Survivor (how would that look to the cop?)
Swap a Townie for another Poser
Swap cop for Gunsmith (and tweak results accordingly), which makes the SK a bit stronger-

Hmm....what about a Goon being neighbors (unconfirmed masons) with a townie, and the cop is a "Talk Cop" who only learns if a player can talk to others at night.Thok wrote:I don't know whether this idea works or not, and it probably needs tweaking.
Quagmire's Revenge
2 Mafia Goons
1 Cop
7 Vanilla townies
2 Amnesiac Masons: One is the mafia Godfather (investigation immune), one is a protown mason, neither knows which is which. Mafia knows who the Godfather is, but can't talk to him at night. Masons know that each other is a mason, and can talk at night (but don't know their roles.)
It's probably necessary for the theme to work that the Amnesiac Godfather can't submit a night kill. I don't know if you want to be an amnesiac mason.
Edit: it occurs to me that masons need to stop being amnesiac once the goons die for the game to be playable. So that's going to be added in.
Or...
3 sets of Neighbors
0-1 Goon/Townie (33%)
0-1 Townie/Amnesiac GF (33%)
1-3 Townie/Townie
1 Cop
5-6 Townies
If GF is not a neighbor, he replaces a townie. Death does not reveal if a Townie or the GF could night talk.
ADD: This probably steers it right out of Normal, but throw in the townies voting for the investigation target, votes for the cop ignored. Everyone does something at night!-

Oh, I read the thread
I was eating a sammich and didn't have the brain focus available to figure out how the setup wasn't still broken when it was, say, 4 townies and 2 scum.
But then I realized that it'd end up 1 scum vs 1 townie:
A-B (both die)
C-S1 (scum dies, C is NK)
D-S2 (D is RB)
Endgame scum win.-

Hmm...skimming the wiki for ideas what about:
Code: Select all
3-Way Switch 2 Goons 1 Mafia Traitor Switch 1 Sk 1 Vig 5 Townies 1 Vig Switch 1 SK Switch The Vig/SK switches don't know which one they control, or who it is. They PM the mod on/off. The Traitor Switch can't talk with the Goons. He can flip switch A or switch B, which will flip either the SK or the Vig. He doesn't know which is which the mod knows, of course). His flip be the opposite of the Town switch choice.
I like the name '3-way switch' because its a common electrical device in everyone's household, and the mechanic 'works' in a mafia sense, but I have no idea if it's balanced or fun enough.-
