Of course that's only The Shadow on the radio. In the pulp magazines we learn that rathr then the Shadow being a disguise of Cranston, Cranston is merely one of the disguises used by the Shadow. Don't get confused now.
Though I was quite surprised that I got on the list for one. Not that I mind.
