Lol at both of you.
Okay, I am new here, but it looks like a few of you know each other already, and a lot of you are being very quiet, and it doesn't seem like there is much going on that is constructive in terms of the actual scumhunting at all, RVS or not. So...I vote we get this thing going and stop letting NS and Foil have all the fun.
As a newbie, I have a few questions to ask of my own.
1) For people who aren't voting, why aren't you voting?
2) For people who aren't talking, why not?
3) For those of you have been around for a while, is not talking during RVS a positive or negative thing? Why?
I am changing my answer to NS's question #6 (Lynching all Lurkers), and saying yes, go for it, and now I am going to cast a vote now based solely on one thing, and that is silence.Vote: Lunaticlucas, for not talking since Wednesday and only having one post.
(And yes, I totally feel like a teacher calling on someone since no one will volunteer to talk!)Has she a name? / She reminds me of a small bird, perhaps a jenny wren. / An owl perhaps, that speaks only when the rest of the world sleeps. / Jenny will do well enough. ~Juliet Marillier,Daughter of the Forest~-

First, I do know jmj3000 (onsite) and while I've seen foilist around, I've not had much interaction with him. Everyone else is really new to me.jenniwren wrote:1) For people who aren't voting, why aren't you voting?

1) n/a
2) also n/a
3) Null. Some people love it, and talk a lot; some people (me) hate it and still talk a lot; other people don't talk for various reasons.
Next question? I like questions.-

meh, i guess no one wants to try my method. i dont see anything too fascinating wit the foilist v NS stuff. just your typical mountain out of a molehill RVS banter.
foilist - what was your first serious post in this game?
NS - you say you don't consider yourself to be out of the RVS, as a way to explain away your last vote on foilist. but, you previously had decided to join me with with the method i proposed to get out of the RVS. explain.-

Please tell me how your random vote is any different than any other random vote in this game thus far.podium123456 wrote:NS - you say you don't consider yourself to be out of the RVS, as a way to explain away your last vote on foilist. but, you previously had decided to join me with with the method i proposed to get out of the RVS. explain.

I never decided to "join you" -- it just sounded like a good random vote. You make it sound like I'm following you around. I'm not.-

1) I don't vote in RVS, plain and simple.jenniwren wrote:1) For people who aren't voting, why aren't you voting?

3) For those of you have been around for a while, is not talking during RVS a positive or negative thing? Why?
2) Two reasons actually. a) Nothing super serious had really happened to analyze and b) I have been busy running around town the past couple of days, and also making sure my first modded game here will be able to go smoothly.
3) I find it null for the exact same reasons NS does actually.Looking for experienced designers to help me design, a sequel to my Nintendo Mafia game!SONY MAFIA

First of all, youdidjoin me. I made a rather lengthy argument for getting out of the RVS and suggested someone to wagon. You said 'why not' and voted that person. So you did join me. Big whoop.
Secondly, how is me stating that fact, buddying up to you? If anything, it would be me describing howyoubuddied up tomeby voting who i suggested. But i don't think i would even take it that far.
This vote remains until you retract the accusation.

Whatever, perhaps "buddying" was a rather strong term. However, you have to admit that your "argument" for leaving RVS was.... random.-

Ha! You make me laugh. I almost feel about about trying to lynch you. But you're scum and you've got to go.Nobody Special wrote:Observe.

Ok, the first quote, as Podium already said, is blatant BS. The second quote is blatant backpedaling and a weaksauce attempt at appeasement.Nobody Special wrote:Whatever, perhaps "buddying" was a rather strong term. However, you have to admit that your "argument" for leaving RVS was.... random.
If I wasn't already voting you, I'd vote you again."If you are going to tell people the truth, you had better make them laugh. Otherwise they'll kill you."-

Hey podium, go look at my meta, especially in newbie games. This game is going slow, even for a newbie game, so I don't have a lot to analyze that isn't random or for crap reasoning. Voting for somebody because they refuse to participate in the rvs is like voting somebody for not having an avatar and refusing to get one.Looking for experienced designers to help me design, a sequel to my Nintendo Mafia game!SONY MAFIA

Lol, Podium, you voted jmj3000 to begin with, and you haven't ever changed your vote. Did you intend to change your vote at some point and forget that you had not done so? Some of this bantering going on is enough to cause some questioning about who might be scum, that's for certain.
I can't decide yet if I think it's *ultimately* more scummy to get into a war of words with someone else with an intention to draw attention away from oneself or to lurk about while others point fingers and accuse one another while you rub your hands together and cackle with glee. Right now, I am thinking the bantering is more indicative of scumhunting, and lurking more indicative of scum (and in that respect, I agree with Podium's logic about calling out someone who is sitting back and making the rest of us do the work, but not with his vote). However, there are more lurkers at this point than scum, so that theory isn't completely sound, BUT...it's as good as any at this point. Therefore, until I have a good reason to change my vote, I am going to stick with Lunaticlucas, because even though he offered a good reason for lurking, at the same time, he still chimed in as soon as he found himself getting called out for lurking and hasn't contributed anything of value since.Has she a name? / She reminds me of a small bird, perhaps a jenny wren. / An owl perhaps, that speaks only when the rest of the world sleeps. / Jenny will do well enough. ~Juliet Marillier,Daughter of the Forest~-
