General rules
This is a game. HAVE FUN!
Respect your fellow players at
all times.
If I feel attacks are getting too personal or out of hand I will replace/mod kill you as I see fit.
Do not quote any private mod/player communications. Do not pretend to quote private mod/player communications. Doing so will result in a modkill.
There is to be
no
communication outside this thread unless your PM states otherwise.
This is my color. Please don't use it.
Game play rules
Mod kills will end the day.
All votes must be in all
bold
to count and in the following format:
Vote: Sotty
. Unvotes are nice, but not required. I will not tolerate any kind of voting tricks. You have been warned.
A lynch will be reached when a majority of players (one-half of the living players plus one) vote for a specific player.
Once this point is reached, no amount of unvoting will stop the lynch.
Each day will have a deadline of three weeks. In extreme circumstances I will extend the deadline by a few days (no more than a week)
If a majority hasn't been reached by the deadline, then there will be a
no lynch
Each night will have a deadline of three days.
Once a lynch has been reached, all players, (including the lynched player) may continue to post until I can get on and lock the thread.
Once you're dead.. Well you're dead. No more posting, dead people can't type! They also can't talk to others still in the game and tell them any info they may or may not have. Simple.
The everything else rules
No invisible text, encrypted text, stupidly small text or hiding text inside [ color = black ] tags.
I will try and get a votecount up every page or every 24 hours. Feel free to request a vote count at any time.
Prods will go out if you haven't posted in 72 hours. If you don't pick up that prod in 48 hours I will look for a replacement.
If you think you won't be able to post in the thread for a couple of days then please post a notice letting everyone know just that.
Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.
Bold all requests to the mod to make them easier for me not to miss.
I'm human, I make mistakes. Feel free to point out mistakes with small things such as the votecount in thread. If you have issues with the game on a bigger level then please PM me.

The F11 setup is the current game format used in Newbie games. To prevent the development of game-breaking strategies, these Newbie Games are Semi-Open, wherein the actual game setup is randomly chosen from one of four possible setups as detailed below:
If either of the first two setups are in play, and the situation occurs where the Goon is lynched first, the Roleblocker will still be able to submit both night kills and roleblocks (roleblocking is a function of the Roleblocker; night kills are a function of the scum team as a whole).
These are the Role PMs that have potentially been sent to the players:
You are a member of the Mafia along with your partner,
name
. Since your plot to quietly overtake the town has failed, you will attempt take it by force by eliminating the others until you outnumber the populace.
During the day, try to blend in with the normal Townies, and attempt to get someone lynched.
During the NIGHT cycle ONLY, you may talk with your fellow Mafia (via this quick topic) and choose another player in the town to kill that night.
You may communicate privately with your fellow Mafia up until the game thread is opened. Once the game begins, all outside communication must cease until the night cycle.
You win when the number of Mafia equals or exceeds the number of remaining Town players, whether you survive to the end or not.

As a Roleblocker, you have the ability to distract any player throughout the night, effectively negating their night ability, if they have one.
Send the moderator a PM with your choice of player that you want to block. If they have a Night action, it will have no effect. You will not be informed as to whether your roleblock worked or not.

Okay, with the server move I figured it is best to open the game up and let those who are here post. I am going to give those who haven't picked up their role PMs a little while before I start looking for replacements.

It was brought to my attention that in my rules post a section was cut out during the server move. I had to re-add the "Everything else" section, so take note.

It doesn't take too long for the town to surround
Good and Honest
backing him into corner.
"Why can't we all just get along?" G and H exclaims loudly, "spread love, not hate! Right guys? Uh, guys?"
But of course such a notion falls on deaf ears as the blood lust is just too strong. The mafia is in town dammit! That means we have to lynch people, and once you explain this to G and H he accepts his fate readily.
"Fair enough, what will be will be. If my death helps you all in the long wrong, so be it."
Without another word you all lead G and H to the noose and swiftly hang him. After a brief search of his pockets you find... Well you find nothing. Damn....

Night seemed to last longer than normal. Your dreams were fitful, filled with images of a strange sport known to you only as soccer. Balls and players danced in your mind and gave you no rest, waking with a start as the light shines in though the window hurting your eyes. Hurrying to the town square you see almost everyone else is there waiting for you. Well almost everyone.
"Where's CarneyBaby88?"
The crowd parts and shows you that
CarneyBaby88
is laying face down on the street with a bullet to the back of the head.

Within a blink of an eye you all surround
parknourie
convinced he is scum.
"But guys, I'm not-"
You don't even let him finish his sentence before one of you smack him on the back of the head knocking him out. You quickly lynch him, totally expecting to root though his pockets and find a gun or
something
of that nature. Only you find nothing. Seems poor old parknourie was just a townie.

parknourie was lynched. He was a
townie.
[*]Deadline for the end of night two is Sunday 27th of June at 8am CST. If I don't receive an action by then it will be forfeit.

The town is fed up, they have suffered though two lynches and still haven't found any mafia! It was starting to weigh on them and they wanted to make sure they got it right today. Soon discussion came around to
Zinive
and his apprent eagerness to see other people hang.
"Seriously guys, I don't see how Zinive can't be scum."
"You know what he's right..."
"It has to be Zinive! That's the only thing that makes sense."
"Now wait a minute guys...."
But the town doesn't want to hear any more, they drag Zinive to the noose kicking and screaming. There is a brief struggle before finally he is set up in the noose and the chair is kicked out from underneath him. Zinive's neck snaps and he swings slowly in the breeze and for a moment no one can look. Did you get it right? Was he scum...? Finally you look though his pockets and find......... A gun! YES!
= = = = =
Zinive was lynched. He was
a mafia goon.
[*]Deadline for the end of night three is Sunday 11th July at 8am CST. If I don't receive an action it will be forfeited.

Morning comes quickly but it brings bad news. On arrival in the town square, you find the body of
DavidParker
laying face down in the dirt. A large bullet hole in the back of his head isn't the only thing of note. Next to his body, covered in his blood, is a first aid kit. One of you make a move to pick it up, but clearly DavidParker is beyond any help the small box could possibly offer.
This turn of events certainly takes the shine off the scum lynch yesterday.

I have to disagree with DavidParker's instance that yabba was a bad IC. Really, he tried to help the town as much as he could as an IC, encouraged discussion at the start of game, answered questions etc. You can't hold one player responsible for the insane quick lynch that was Park. As far as I could tell, yabba hadn't come back online again since he put the first vote down on Park and the rest of the town rushed to wagon him. Sure he benefited greatly from the quick lynch, but the town gave him that gift, he didn't take it from them. I hope with how quick day two went that you all now understand why quick lynches aren't good for the game.
I was really impressed with DavidParker's entrance into this game. I was sure that day three would be no different from day two, in that the town wouldn't waste time running someone up despite it being lylo. However, DP replaced in and really gave the town some much needed life. I really thought he was going to crack the game when he started talking about Zinive and yabba both as scum. Then he was convinced they weren't scum together and then finally decided yabba was town. Still, he was extremely influential in this game for the short amount of time he was here. The only thing I didn't like was when he was calling people "retards" I probably would have warned you if you had continued to use that word. There was really no need for it.
As the game went on the new town players did seem to grow into their roles and for a first game, this one is a great experience. I had a feeling Good and Honest play style would cause troubles but he really got into breaking down the game which I thought was good. Certainly is a play style I would like to have the experience of playing with.
All in all I thought this was a very good newbie game, after a rocky start I saw some good progressions for all the new players. Nashi and Pizzaplate in particular. Congrats to the scum and I hope you all stick around for more games.

DavidParker wrote:@Sotty: Sorry for my name calling
thanks for modding and having me sub into this fun game. I actually jumped to sub, because i saw a game on day 3 with 6-7pages, thought "wtf" and wanted to get in and wreak havoc.
Don't sweat it. I understand the heat of the moment and it all, you calmed down there as well
Also the speed of this game I think played a part in how easy it was to get replacements. People are like "day 3 in less than 10 pages?!?! /in!!" So that was a plus.
Also I love yabba and his post game thoughts. He did that in my other newbie game and I think it is great
