cactus - Town for reasons

Brickwalll - I don't think the option clashes with myself and Cactus come from scum. It made Brick stand out and now that we know my Meg pairings were wrong scum just dismissing scum reads on town doesn't seem likely. Only thoughts to the contrary is I'm surprised

Aureal - I can think of nothing memorable from this slot. Feels like it's just coasting through a slow day letting indecision build up for a potentially chaotic end of day again.

Pavowski - I vaguely remember liking him early game and I don't think he's done anything different since so I guess town lean?

Meg's read list crossed with the wagon on Meg only gave Pav/Cactus as Mason pair option. I looked through Cactus and Meg's isos and neither voted each other so I thought "yea probs cactus" not doing my due diligence to check out Pav's iso which would in hindsight have been obvious that it was him and not cactus.
(you may have noticed I post a lot of things without properly thinking them through first)

Ugh. I don't have the time I thought I would have tonight to make big posts and arguments. We're close to deadline, but I want to give Toffee a chance to get fully caught up since they seem proactive enough to do so.

Pending hearing more from Toffee, I'm back to Weuler and Brick the most. Just about everybody else's play I can make sense of, but these two keep pinging me radar. (I want to elaborate more but I just don't have time to dig into it tonight. This is a bummer, but it can't be helped.) I also think we get a fair bit from info if we flip either of these slots, and I don't love Brick's post/vote around Meg just now:

Here are my thoughts in short. Sorry for the multi posts tonight. I wanted to catch up properly:

Aureal & BBT are my two biggest town reads so far. I always say lurking is disinterested townie or lurking scum. By the end from Charles I was getting disinterested townie, maybe a small sign but the way he was posting "I will get into the game soon" or "A lot of work" makes me think they picked up their role PM, saw VT and then thought they couldn't be bothered. I also think this is backed up by BlueBloodToffee's entrance to the game. Aureal for calling out Megs (I had started getting suspicious around similar times) and whilst I admit there been several times in this game where I have agreed with her, I think that indicates town vibes to me and happy to have her near the top of my list for now.

Elements: I have null. I think they were pretty active early on, especially with their now infamous post which is the centre of much controversy, but have been quite since then. They subsequently supported Idle in a further pair scum hunting case. I am trying to look past it but until I am convinced/shown the value in this approach I am struggling to get on board with it.

Meg: Top scum read for now and going to be voting on her shortly, just want to check it isn't the hammer before i do.

Cactus: I have has town-lean and think it is just noobness with the direct, somewhat confrontational questioning approach. Also their inability to look past the argument surrounding elements post is actually quite damaging for town by tunnelling in on me and not putting their attention elsewhere. I did present my initial case in 349 against Pavowski. I stand by that case and think it makes some really good points. I will note that I find it funny that Cactus is deadset on voting me for my complete dismissal of elements post, yet he has done exactly the same thing with my Post 349. He hasn't engaged or poked holes in my theory, he has just dismissed it. The difference between Cactus and Idle is I think Cactus is a bit nooby whereas Idle I think has experience and is somewhat purposefully tunnelling on me.

IdleMuse: There method and approach to the game has come across as town. However, seeing how flawed their case on me is (and somewhat tunnelling like Cactus) I am getting more scum vibes on IdleMuse compared to Cactus. I think there theory on me being coached by Megs in 407 is nonsensical. When pointed out that scum would have DT and it wouldn't make sense to be coached in public, they just updated their theory to fit the facts. Thus, just seems like they are manipulating their case to ensure I am scum. Seems suspect and this is why Idle is number two on my list.

Pavowski: I still have at null. I think my case in 349 and the immediate response from Pavowski was to post indepth posts and making themselves look busy. Perhaps scum feeling some pressure and responding accordingly? Time will tell on this front but for now I am happy with them at null with elements.

Weuler: For someone who was under the pump in the beginning, they have been quietly sitting in the background nodding along since. I would like to see them bring a case to the floor and put forward their number one target and why. Not just bandwagon along. Null for now.

I'm not sure why that's such a sticking point for you? Elements went all-in on cactus being mason to the point of saying she'd self-hammer before going for cactus and half the game promptly told her that was crazy. Your own words made it clear you weren't going to believe it if cactus did claim and so Elements second-guesses whether this mason thing is worth tying herself so tightly to cactus. Like I said, I see a lot of panic in how Elements was acting in those posts made over the span of my workday. They're sloppy, in content and form.

I've commented on my very little thought process already in 1204. Why I'm "putting in effort now" is because we have something new to go on that I can look at and analyse. Elements continues to play like I'd expect a scum to do here, targeting Idle and keeping her options open with me because she needs to get through two more days, so she's fishing for info about who she can best frame tomorrow.

She's not telling us what she's been thinking. Like right here in 1204 she says she vote hopped to see what happened. Great, so what did that tell her?

It told me that you were hesitant to vote Cactus despite town reading him which made me question your partner equity the moment Cactus flipped.

Both me and BBT have expressed interest in staying on the Aureal wagon until the day ends. If I'm partners with Cactus, he doesn't move his vote either. That means there will be three votes on Aureal until the end of the day.
To get me or voted out you'd either need the rest of you [Aureal, Idle, Brick, Pav] to vote me or BBT or Cactus to change their mind to want to vote me.

When I add my vibe checks the list looks like Idle>Cactus>Brick>Elements>BBT>Aureal

Pav is unlikely to vote me. BBT's demeanour towards me is very much one of town reading me. In this scenario Cactus is my scum partner so doesn't vote me.
So you get to [Aureal, Idle, Brick] which I think is unlikely to ever happen given who was more active in the thread.

Vote swinging to Cactus:

Nooo, I was still keen on a Pav wagon. Think I would have done Aureal over Cactus though, still don't thinkcactus is scum.

Brick would have hammered over joining a separate Cactus Wagon.

So the day probably ends with Brick hammering Aureal.
If it wasn't for the fact that I catalysed the Cactus wagon into fruition and we flipped scum.

Current thoughts on people as of right now without looking over the game at all or anything:

cactus - Town for reasons

Brickwalll - I don't think the option clashes with myself and Cactus come from scum. It made Brick stand out and now that we know my Meg pairings were wrong scum just dismissing scum reads on town doesn't seem likely. Only thoughts to the contrary is I'm surprised

IdleMuse -

Aureal - I can think of nothing memorable from this slot. Feels like it's just coasting through a slow day letting indecision build up for a potentially chaotic end of day again.

Pavowski - I vaguely remember liking him early game and I don't think he's done anything different since so I guess town lean?

BlueBloodedToffee - Similar to Pav

Aureal day 3 assuming town

So tunnelled it's not even. 1176 is a tunnel induced fantasy. A little more tunnelling. So much tunnelling

Aureal day 3 assuming scum

In my first scum game on this site I was in a final three and picked one player to have as my target for elimination and effectively tunnelled into them for a win. I think people think it's more town-like to have someone and stick to them rather than "keeping your options open" with uncertainty. (This exact same argument can be made for me with Idle)


At this point I'm reaching my limit for effort which is annoying because I really want to win this game

BBT Day 3 from assuming town

Starts off town reading and defending Elements. Assessing interactions with Cactus/Elements to explain.
Regretting potentially tipping off scum as to who the other mason was.
Still defending Elements. Starting to be persuaded in 1250 to Elements scum.
Saying inconsistency is more likely from town than scum.
Some paranoia towards the end of the day.


BBT Day 3 from assuming scum

Sees that I'm under suspicion and defends me maybe to buddy me or distance form my town flip.
"Oh no I told scum who to kill"
Paranoia and being persuaded on scum!me in 1250 could be setting up ot vote me today.

Conclusion
I don't think BBT is scum here. There were a lot of suspicions and accusations being thrown at me so being the only other voice defending me when BBT could have just agreed with Idle and Aureal and then used my arguments for Idle to push Idle today. With such support from Aureal and Idle I think BBT could have even gone for a quick hammer especially with BBT and Cactus' interactions in day 2. I also don't think scum brings up the point about inconsistencies coming from town over scum. When other people are using that point to push town, BBT can just not bring that point up at all and even back it up.
